11.4. Removal and installation of brake disks

Replacement of brake disks should be made on both wheels of one axis; to a stern of that, along with replacement of disks it is necessary to replace also blocks. The description only for one wheel is given below.

Forward brake disks

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Poddomkratte the car also remove forward wheels.
  1. Squeeze out the piston of the brake cylinder and turn out bolts of fastening of an anchor bracket to a rotary fist. Suspend assembly of the brake mechanism on a suspension bracket rack so that not to load a brake hose.
  1. Turn out bolts of fastening of a brake disk and remove it from a nave.
  1. Clear a brake disk and establish it on a nave.

On the surfaces of a disk interfaced to a nave there should not be a rust and zadir. Grease a carving of bolts of fastening of a disk with Loctite 242 sealant.

  1. Establish an anchor bracket together with a support, previously having greased bolts of its fastening with Loctite 242 sealant.
  2. Establish wheels and lower the car on the earth.
  3. Squeeze out a brake pedal to wring out pistons of brake cylinders and in conclusion check and if necessary modify the level of brake fluid.
  4. Be passed on the car and check serviceability of functioning of brake mechanisms.

Back brake disks

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Poddomkratte the car also remove back wheels.

Models with a floating support

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Squeeze out the piston of the brake cylinder (2) and turn out bolts (3) fastenings of an anchor bracket. Suspend assembly of the brake mechanism on a suspension bracket rack so that not to load a brake hose.
  1. Weaken the drive of the parking brake (4), turn out bolts (5) of fastening of a brake disk and remove it from a nave.
  1. Clear a brake disk and establish it on a nave.

On the surfaces of a disk interfaced to a nave there should not be a rust and zadir. Grease a carving of bolts of fastening of a disk with Loctite 242 sealant.

  1. Adjust the parking brake (see the Section Check of the Brake System).

Models with a motionless support

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Wring out the external piston of the brake cylinder.
  1. Turn out bolts of fastening of a support, release a brake hose from a clamp on the lever of a suspension bracket and suspend a support so that not to load a brake hose.
