2.3.2. Governing bodies and equipment of salon

The left understeering switch is intended for management of indexes of turns, switching of near and far light of headlights, the alarm system by driving beam, and also for management tempostaty.

For inclusion of driving beam of headlights pull the lever on yourself to the fixed situation. At the same time will light up To/L driving beam of headlights. Press the lever from yourself for switching back in the mode of passing beam of headlights.

For prevention of a discharge of the battery do not leave for a long time the included headlights at the switched-off engine.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. The car has function of inclusion of the neighbor on 30 from later closing of a door of the driver – it can be used for lighting of the road from the car to the house. For use of this function take a key from the ignition lock, open a door of the driver and install the left understeering switch in situation "2".
  2. For giving of a signal driving beam of headlights pull the left understeering switch on yourself, without bringing it to the fixed situation. Driving beam remains included at deduction of the lever, and after an otpuskaniya the lever comes back to initial situation.
  3. For inclusion of the index of the left or right turn at the included ignition pull the lever of the understeering switch respectively down or up. At the same time in a combination of devices the indicator of inclusion of the index of the corresponding turn lights up in the flashing mode. After completion of turn the switch automatically comes back to neutral situation.
  4. At evolution it is possible to use indexes of evolution for which inclusion it is necessary to pull slightly the switch up or down, without leading up against the stop and to hold it in this situation. After an otpuskaniye the switch will automatically come back to initial (average) situation.

Right understeering switch

In order to avoid damage of the mechanism of screen wipers it is not necessary to include them if the purified glass dry, and also to move them with hands. In order to avoid damage of brushes of screen wipers do not allow their contact with gasoline and other solvents. In order to avoid damage of the pump of windscreen washer do not use it at the empty tank of the washing liquid. Switch off the rain sensor at a wash of the car, and also at clarification of a windshield to avoid damage of screen wipers and possible injuries.

The right understeering switch is intended for management of cleaners and washers of glasses which functioning is possible only at the included ignition.

Provisions of the right understeering switch

0 — Neutral situation
1 — the Interval mode / inclusion of the sensor of a rain

2 — Normal speed
3 — the Increased speed
4 — Inclusion of a washer

Moving the switch lever up and down, it is possible to choose operating modes of screenwashes and to switch off them. Between provisions 0 and 2 there is unstable situation in which the screen wiper makes the single move. At inclusion of a washer cleaners do from 3 to 5 courses depending on period of operation of a washer. If car speed less than 20 km/h, cleaners make one more move in 9 seconds.

At the included passing beam cleaners of lenses of headlights join at every sixth washing of a windshield or if there passed more than 2 minutes after the last washing. If passing beam is turned off, cleaners of lenses of headlights join only at the first washing of a windshield.

Cleaners of lenses of headlights cannot be included separately.

For the choice of duration of intervals of work of a screen wiper, or the 3-position switch (with the vertical course) located on the lever is intended for adjustment of sensitivity of the sensor of a rain (on models with the corresponding complete set). In extreme top position of the switch interval/sensitivity maximum, and in extremely lower – minimum.

At the corresponding complete set the rain sensor located on a windshield about a rear-view mirror, automatically operates cleaning of a windshield. Depending on an amount of water or snow on glass, the sensor makes or single inclusion of cleaners, or includes them in the continuous mode. At turning on of the sensor of a rain (position "1" of the right understeering switch) cleaners make one control move. After that the sensor compares quantity of water/snow on the windshield with initial quantity defined at the control course. Cleaners make the control move as well at each increase in sensitivity of the sensor. For turning on of the sensor after switching off of ignition it is necessary to transfer the right understeering switch to neutral situation previously. The rain sensor in addition defines illumination and according to its size switches in a night or day operating mode. In night situation sensitivity of the sensor automatically increases.

The switch (with the horizontal course) located on the lever is intended for management of a cleaner and washer of glass of a door of a back (Station wagon model) 3-position (provisions of "ON", "OFF" and ""). In the provision of "ON" the cleaner works in the interval mode. In situation "" cleaning and washing of glass is made. After several courses the cleaner stops and passes into an interval operating mode (if it is chosen). Approximately through 15 from later switching off of a screen wiper he makes one more move for removal from glass of the possible remains of liquid. Between provisions of "OFF" and "ON" there is unstable situation in which the cleaner makes one move. Besides, interval purification of glass of a door of a back joins by the chosen transfer of a backing and the switch of screen wipers installed in situation "1", "2" or "3".

Horn switch

The button of inclusion of a horn is built in an overlay of a steering wheel – press it about a rim of a steering wheel.

Clamp of a tilt angle of a steering column

The steering column should be adjusted so that the steering wheel was opposite to a thorax of the driver. Situation at which the steering wheel is opposite to a face of the driver is wrong as reduces protective functions of a forward safety cushion of the driver.

It is not necessary to regulate an inclination of a steering column during driving since at the same time control over driving can be lost.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. For change of a tilt angle of a steering column completely release the clamp (before click) located under it.
  1. Establish a steering column in required position and return a clamp to a starting position (before click) to fix it. Check reliability of fixing of a steering column, having pulled a steering wheel up-down.

Buttons of control of the audio system

Buttons of control of the audio system are located from an overlay of a steering wheel on each side and intended for increase in safety of use of the audio system when driving.

The button with the inscription "NEXT" during the operation of the audio system in the mode of radio is intended for cyclic switching between the preset radio stations (1> 2> …> 6> 1> …). During the operation of the audio system in the cartridge mode when pressing this button the direction of scrolling of a film changes (other party of the cartridge is lost). When playing CD by repeated pressing this button there is a cyclic change of the reproduced disk (1> 2> …> 6> 1> …).

The button with the inscription "SEEK" during the operation of the audio system in the mode of radio is used for automatic/manual search of stations; in the cartridge mode – for fragment/rewind search, and in the CD mode – for change of a path / fast playback.

The button with the inscription "SRC" by its repeated pressing cyclically switches operating modes of the audio system (radio> the cartridge> CD> a CD changer> radio> …).

The button with the inscription "VOL" is intended for volume control.

The governing bodies located under a combination of devices

Governing bodies under a combination of devices are located at the left (switches and regulators of external lighting) and on the right (the switch of the TCS/ESP systems) from a steering column.

The rotary switch of external lighting, the switch of back foggy lamps and the regulator of brightness of illumination of devices is installed in the block located closer to a door.

Control unit of external lighting

In the block of the switches located closer to a steering column there are a switch of fog lights and the regulator of an inclination of headlights.

The rotary switch of external lighting has 3 provisions designated by the corresponding pictograms:

Passing beam of headlights. At the switch of a headlight installed in this situation join/are switched off at respectively inclusion/switching off of ignition.

Marker lights. At the switch installed in this situation marker lights burn irrespective of the provision of a key in the ignition lock.

Marker lights and passing beam of headlights – join at inclusion of ignition. If necessary it is possible to cancel inclusion of external lighting at the switch installed in this situation. For this purpose it is necessary to take a safety lock No. 35 of the main assembly block (see the Head Onboard electric equipment).

Button of the switch of a back foggy lamp. The back foggy lamp joins on condition of inclusion of marker lights and driving beam (the rotary switch in situation), or at the included fog lights. The included back foggy lamp dies away at switching off of the engine and at its repeated start does not join.

The regulator of an inclination of headlights is installed on some models and allows to adjust range of lighting of the road at various values of loading of the car. For adjustment of an inclination of headlights it is required to include ignition and to establish a regulator wheel in the situation corresponding to loading of the car (see Specifications). Previously it is necessary to make the main adjustment of headlights.

If the car is equipped with the regulator of an inclination of headlights and system of automatic adjustment of an inclination of headlights, it is necessary to regulate an inclination of headlights manually only in case of the maximum loading of the car – establish a regulator wheel in situation "1".

The switch of the ESP/TCS systems is intended for compulsory shutdown of these systems (at the corresponding complete set).

Governing bodies and the equipment of salon on the central console

On the central console of the car there is the greatest number of bodies of its management and the equipment of salon.

The description of the audio system, multipurpose display and systems of heating and To/in is provided in the Part of the Device of ensuring comfort; the switch of the uniform lock is described in the Section Doors and trunk lid; governing bodies of transmission are described in the Section Use of the Automatic Transmission (AT).

Switch of the alarm system

The switch of the alarm system works with the built-in control lamp in any position of the lock of ignition. For turning on of the alarm system press the switch button; for switching off – press the button once again. At the switched-on alarm system synchronously with all indexes of turns blinks To/L, built in the switch, and at the included ignition – and indicators of indexes of turns in a combination of devices. If the alarm system works for a long time, the frequency of a blinking of indexes of turns decreases for the purpose of economy of a charge of the battery.

Switches regulators of heating and ventilation of front seats

Switches of heating and ventilation of lobbies are intended for inclusion and adjustment of intensity of heating and ventilation of pillows and backs of front seats. In situation "0" heating or ventilation are switched off; when moving the switch up intensity increases.

On some models the heating of back seats included by the button located on a back wall of the central console in addition is established.

Lighters and ashtrays

Do not hold the lighter pressed after it is ready to use since it can lead to its overheat; for the same reason the lighter should be taken from its nest if it automatically long does not come back to a starting position. Do not allow the general load of both lighters more than 240 W when using them as sockets of selection of power.

  1. After the lighter heats up to necessary temperature, it will automatically return to a starting position. In addition the lighter is available on a back wall of the central console, near the switch of heating of a back seat.

For use of the lighter ignition has to be included.


It is not necessary to use an ashtray for storage of any things since at contact with them of the lit cigarettes or matches there can be a fire.

  1. For use of a forward ashtray press its cover.
  1. To take an ashtray, pull it sideways. On some models of an ashtray are built in addition in at back doors.

Switch of ignition and blocking of a steering wheel

The switch of ignition and blocking of a steering wheel called also by the ignition lock is located in the lower part of the central console, between seats.

Location of the lock of ignition

The lock of ignition has the following four provisions:

LOCK — This position of the switch of ignition is used for blocking of a steering wheel and extraction of the ignition key. In this situation marker lights, warning signals and illumination of salon work. For extraction of a key from the lock of ignition transfer of a backing has to be included (models with RKPP), and on models with AT the lever of the selector has to be in situation "P".

OFF — In this situation is unblocked a steering wheel and the lever of gear shifting the AT selector RKPP/lever.

ON — Normal position of the ignition key after start of the engine. Before start of the engine at turn of a key in this situation it is necessary to check short-term operation of the control lamps which are built in a combination of devices (see the Section Keys, replacement of a battery of the DU block). In this provision of a key all electric equipment of the car works.

Do not leave the ignition key in the provision of "OFF" at the switched-off engine since at the same time there is a bystry discharge of the battery.

ST (START) — Is used for start of the engine. When keeping the ignition key in this situation the starter will scroll the engine. In operating time of a starter some electric components will be disconnected, facilitating start of the engine. After an otpuskaniye the key comes back to the provision of "ON".

Do not turn the ignition key in position of LOCK or ACC at the movement of the car since it can lead to controllability loss by the car and to violation of functioning of brakes.

Chashkoderzhateli and a ware box in the central console

It is not necessary to use a coaster during the movement of the car since at accident or sharp braking the objects established in coasters can be the reason of a trauma of the driver and passengers. Especially it is not necessary to put in coasters not closed containers with hot liquids at the movement of the car since at possible spraying of liquid the driver can burn and lose driving.

The built-in chashkoderzhatel has the ware box located in the console between seats. For opening of a box pull for the back party of its cover forward.

Switches of internal lighting

In structure of devices of internal lighting forward and back saloon lamps, illumination of the mirrors which are built in solar peaks, lamps in foot wells (in front, lamps in the doorway), and also the lamp in the luggage compartment ascend.

The operating mode of internal lighting is set by means of the switch close to the forward saloon lamp, on the right. On average position of the switch internal lighting joins:

Lighting dies away later 30 from later closing of doors, or at turn of the ignition key in the provision of "ON". If the door is left open at the switched-off ignition, internal lighting dies away 20 minutes later.

The switch of management of a cover of the top hatch is located near the forward saloon lamp, in the center. The description of the switch is provided in the Section the Top hatch.

Sun-protection peaks and cosmetic mirrors

Double sun-protection peaks are located over a windshield, on a ceiling at the left and on the right and intended for prevention of dazzle by direct sunshine. Peaks are equipped with cosmetic mirrors (on inside) with the illumination joining when tilting a mirror.

Internal rear-view mirror

Before a trip it is necessary to adjust an internal rear-view mirror, turning it so that in its center the center of back glass was visible. At the same time the mirror has to be in the normal mode.

For switching between the night and day modes move the lever gained behind a mirror, respectively or from itself.

On the models equipped with a rear-view mirror with a possibility of automatic blackout for switching between the day and automatic modes the button located on its forward panel serves.

The mirror with automatic shading has two light sensors: one is directed forward, and an arch – back. When the sensor directed forward defines decrease in natural lighting, the night mode joins (on condition of the included automatic mode). The same occurs at hit on a mirror of bright light of headlights of the car going behind. Inclusion of the night mode happens gradually. At disappearance of bright light behind, and also at increase in brightness of natural lighting the mirror automatically switches in the day mode.

At inclusion of transfer of a backing the automatic mode is turned off, and the mirror works in the day mode. At towage of the high trailer the automatic mode can also be switched off since the trailer will cover the review of the sensor turned back.

The switches located on doors

In each door there are switches of management of window regulators (see the Section Glasses of doors). Besides at doors of the driver switches of opening of the hatch of a jellied mouth of the fuel tank and a cover of a luggage carrier/door of a back (see the Section of the Door and a trunk lid), and also the control unit of external mirrors are located.

In the control unit of external rear-view mirrors there is a switch between the left and right mirror, the round switch of adjustment of provision of the chosen mirror. In addition there is a button of an inclination of the right mirror at the movement by a backing. For an inclination of the right mirror choose transfer of a backing and press this button. At switching off of transfer of a backing the right mirror automatically comes back to a starting position.

On the models equipped with memory of provision of a seat of the driver, the provision of mirrors is brought in memory along with storing of provision of a seat.

Heating of external mirrors joins along with heating of back glass (see the Section System of Automatic Heating and Air Conditioning (ACC)).

The reflector of a mirror can be corrected as well manually, carefully pressing it in the necessary direction.

External mirrors can be put to a door if it is required to pass or park in a bottleneck.

Ware boxes

Besides the ware box located in central the interior of the car is equipped with ware boxes, opposite to a seat of the forward passenger, located under handles of doors and in an armrest of a back seat.

In addition there are pockets on a forward part of pillows of front seats, on a back part of backs of front seats, and also on body racks, for backs of front seats.

It is possible to give cold air to the ware box located opposite to a seat of the forward passenger, for example, for cooling of the drinks which are stored in a box – pull the gate on yourself.
