5.1.3. Removal and installation of the thermostat

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Open a cover of a broad tank and dump pressure in the cooling system.
  2. Poddomkratte the car also remove the lower protection cover of a motive compartment.
  3. Lower cooling liquid and lower the car on the earth.
  4. Weaken a collar of fastening of the top hose of a radiator to the case of the thermostat and remove a hose.
  1. Disconnect a weight wire from the thermostat case, give the top bolt of fastening of the case and completely turn out the lower bolts of its fastening.
  1. Remove the case of the thermostat and the thermostat.
  1. Check a condition of the interfaced surfaces and clear them. Slightly grease rubber consolidation with acid-free vaseline.
  2. At installation of the thermostat make sure that its air vent is above (a tag of "TOP" on the thermostat).
  3. Further installation is made upside-down.

Petrol V6 engines

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Perform the operations described in paragraphs 1-3 and remove the top cover of the engine.
  1. Remove the top, then average and lower sections of the inlet pipeline.
  1. Remove the MAF sensor and shalang, disconnect the giving tube of a turbocompressor and shift it towards the intercooler.
  2. Disconnect a perepuskny tube of a turbocompressor and separate the socket on a tube of ventilation of a case.
  1. Take the probe of level of motive oil and disconnect a hose from the thermostat. Remove the thermostat together with its case.
  1. Check a condition of the interfaced surfaces and clear them. Replace a sealing ring of the thermostat.
  2. Further installation is made upside-down.

Diesel V6 engines

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove assembly of fans of a radiator (see the Section Removal and installation of assembly of fans of a radiator).
  1. Remove the thermofilter of a final collector (2 on an illustration).
  1. Substitute suitable capacity under the car and disconnect a hose from the thermostat case (3 on an illustration).
  2. Remove the case of the thermostat and the thermostat (4 and 5 on an illustration).
  3. Install the thermostat with new consolidation, having made sure that the valve of a purge is above.
  4. Further installation is made upside-down.
