5.1.6. Removal and installation of a radiator

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Uncover a broad tank, a poddomkratta the car and remove the lower protection cover of a motive compartment.
  1. Turn out a drain stopper and lower OZh from a radiator. Lower the car on the earth.
  1. Weaken a collar of the top hose of a radiator (6 on an illustration) and remove assembly of fans (see the Section Removal and installation of assembly of fans of a radiator).
  1. On models with AT separate connections of the oil cooler on AT. Collect the flowed-out liquid.
  2. Give fixture of a ventilating hose of the cooling system (9 on an illustration) and separate the socket (10) of the К/В compressor.
  3. Disconnect the lower hose of a radiator from the water pump
  1. Remove a radiator, having released it holders.

If the radiator is removed for long time, it should be stored filled with liquid.

  1. Installation is made upside-down.

Petrol V6 engines

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Perform the operations described in items 1 and 2.
  2. Remove assembly of fans (see the Section Removal and installation of assembly of fans of a radiator).
  1. Disconnect from a radiator the top ventilating hose (7 on an illustration).
  1. Give fixture of the top oil tube (8 on an illustration) from AT and wipe the flowed-out oil.
  2. Disconnect from a radiator the top and lower hoses, and also the lower hose from the tube going to the thermostat (9 on an illustration).
  3. Give fixture of the lower oil tube (10 on an illustration) from AT and wipe the flowed-out oil.
  4. Remove a radiator, having released it holders (see an illustration).

If the radiator is removed for long time, it should be stored filled with liquid.

  1. Installation is made upside-down.

Diesel V6 engines

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove assembly of fans of a radiator (see the Section Removal and installation of assembly of fans of a radiator) and substitute under a radiator capacity for collecting OZh.
  1. Disconnect from a radiator a hose of a purge and the lower hose (3 on an illustration).
  1. Remove a radiator (4 on an illustration).
  2. Installation is made upside-down.
